7 Delicious Nespresso Recipes

Alright, ready to spice up your coffee game?

Here are some of the most delicious drinks you can make with Nespresso coffee.

1. Nespresso Iced Vanilla Latte

My personal favorite, Nespresso iced vanilla latte is also probably one of the easiest to make.

Here’s what you need:

  • 1 Nespresso Professional Espresso Vanilla capsule
  • 4 ice cubes
  • 3 ounces cold-frothed milk
  • 0.5 ounces maple syrup (optional)

And here’s how you can make this drink at home:

  1. Pour the ice cubes into a tall glass.
  2. Brew coffee, then pour it on top of the ice.
  3. Add cold-frothed milk on top of the coffee.
  4. If you want, you can garnish the drink with maple syrup.

In just a few minutes of prep time, you get to enjoy a chilled summer drink.

2. Nespresso Iced Caramel Latte

iced caramel latte

Caramel is probably the most loved flavoring in the world. So naturally, the iced caramel latte had to be on this list.

Here are the ingredients for this drink:

  • 1 Nespresso Professional Espresso Caramel capsule
  • 4 ice cubes
  • 3 ounces cold frothed milk
  • 0.5 ounces caramel sauce

Here are step-by-step instructions:

  1. Squeeze out a bit of caramel sauce along the sides of a tall glass.
  2. Add ice cubes.
  3. Pour cold-frothed milk.
  4. Brew espresso, then add it on top of the frothed milk.
  5. Additionally, you can add caramel sauce again, this time as a topper.

That’s all. Quick and simple, yet so refreshing.

3. Nespresso Peppermint Marshmallow Latte

Now, this is a drink when you want to be extra. It actually takes a bit more time and effort than other Nespresso coffee recipes on this list, but all is well worth it.

Here are the ingredients for this latte recipe:

  • 2 Nespresso Espresso capsule (whichever you prefer, as long as it’s unflavored)
  • Peppermint marshmallow creamer
  • Peppermint whipped cream
  • 1 teaspoon crushed candy canes
  • 2 whole candy cane for garnish

To make marshmallow creamer at home, you’ll need:

  • 1/2 cup 10% half & half cream
  • 1/4 cup mini marshmallows
  • 1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract

As for whipped cream, the ingredients are:

  • 1/4 cup 35% heavy whipping cream
  • 1 tablespoon icing sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract

Got everything?

Alright, we’re starting with the marshmallow creamer first. Here’s what you need to do:

  1. Pour half & half cream into a small pot. Put it on the stove and heat it up over medium heat.
  2. Once you see that bubbles are forming around the edges of the pot, that’s your cue to add marshmallows.
  3. Whisk them until they melt completely into the cream. You want to keep whisking until the ingredients blend. Otherwise, you might get a foamy cream that doesn’t mix well with coffee.
  4. Once marshmallows melt completely, add peppermint extract to the cream. Whisk again until it combines.

That was easy, wasn’t it?

Just keep in mind that the creamer can get lumpy when sitting in the fridge for a while. So if you’re using it the next day or so, just heat it up and stir to get it back to the desired consistency.

Okay, now let’s make the whipped cream:

  1. Add cold heavy whipping cream into a bowl, and whip it until it gets thick.
  2. Add the peppermint extract and icing sugar. Start whipping gain, until you get the preferred consistency. Soft or hard peaks, it’s up to you.

The amount of whipped cream you get here is for about 4 cups of this delicious drink. If you don’t plan on using it all right away, you can store it in the fridge. But for no more than a few days.

Alright, now that we have all the ingredients ready, here’s the fun part:

  1. Brew a cup of your favorite Nespresso drink.
  2. Warm up the marshmallow creamer and pour it on top of the drink.
  3. Top the creamer with whipped cream.
  4. It’s time for a garnish. Sprinkle the crushed candy canes and add a whole candy cane into the cup.

Although it’s a bit complicated to make, I’m sure you’ll enjoy this combo of sweetness and a refreshing touch of mint!

4. Nespresso Gingerbread Coffee

Ah, the perfect drink for the winter.

I don’t know what it is about gingerbread, but it makes any coffee festive.

Alright, here are the ingredients:

  • 1 Gingerbread Coffee capsule
  • 3 ounces whipped cream
  • 0.35 ounces gingerbread
  • 0.2 ounces honey

The whole process is pretty straightforward. Here’s what you need to do:

  1. Brew a cup of Nespresso Gingerbread coffee.
  2. Add whipped cream on top. You can make your own or use the one from the store.
  3. Pour honey over the cream and garnish the drink with gingerbread cookies.

5. Nespresso Cinnamon Cappuccino

What I love most about this fancy drink is how simple it is to make at home.

What you need is:

  • 1 Café Istanbul capsule
  • 1 pinch cinnamon powder
  • 0.33 ounces cinnamon syrup
  • 2 ounce frothed hot milk
  • 1 pinch ground clove

Got all the ingredients? Let’s start:

  1. Froth hot milk and pour it into the cup.
  2. Pour cinnamon syrup over the milk.
  3. Brew a cup of Nespresso Café Istanbul and pour it over the syrup and milk.
  4. Garnish the drink by topping it with a pinch of cinnamon powder and ground clove.

See how easy? And all made with just a few ingredients.

6. Nespresso Iced Chocolate Coffee

This is a drink that gives you that much-needed caffeine fix, and at the same time, satisfies your sugar craving.

Here are the ingredients you need:

  • 2 Grand Cru Kazaar capsules
  • 1.7 ounces milk
  • 0.6 ounces macaroni syrup
  • 1 tablespoon crushed ice
  • chocolate ice cream scoops

Let’s get straight to the chocolate iced coffee recipe:

  1. Steam the milk with the milk frother until you get the smooth foam. Then, add the syrup. Set aside.
  2. Brew two shots of Grand Cru Kazaar espresso.
  3. Pour them into the shaker. Add two scoops of ice cream, then shake well.
  4. Add crushed ice into a tall glass and pour the content of the shaker over it.
  5. Pour foam over the drink.

While it might take a bit more time to make, this recipe is pretty simple. Perfect for hot summer nights!

7. Nespresso Dark Chocolate Orange Double Espresso Chocotini

Who said coffee has to be served in cups or tall glasses?

Here’s a recipe that asks for a martini glass!

Just to be clear, this still is a virgin drink, even though it’s served like 007’s favorite beverage.

Here’s what you need:

  • 2 Volluto capsules
  • 4 ice cubes
  • 1 ounce melted chocolate
  • 0.5 ounces chocolate syrup
  • 1.7 ounces milk
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 pinch orange zest
  1. Brew two cups of espresso with a Nespresso coffee machine. Set aside.
  2. Add melted chocolate, milk, syrup, espresso, and ice cubes into the shaker. Shake them well.
  3. Pour everything into a martini glass.
  4. Garnish the drink with a pinch of orange zest.

This coffee drink is as easy to make as it sounds. Perfect for parties.

FAQ

Have any Nespresso-related questions?

I’ve got your back.

In this section, I’ll answer some of the most common questions regarding the brand.

What is the most popular Nespresso capsule?

Ristretto Italiano is, hands down, the most popular Nespresso capsule among coffee lovers. It’s a part of the Original line and made with a blend of Arabica and Robusta.

Do you add creamer to Nespresso?

According to the brand, every coffee pod pairs well with both milk and creamer. They compliment each flavor really well and give another dimension to your drink.

How many cups can you get from a Nespresso pod?

The brand doesn’t recommend reusing Nespresso pods. But you can definitely make coffee with a single capsule more than once. Just keep in mind that both the taste, aroma, and strength of your coffee will be weaker than the first time.

Bottom Line

With Nespresso, you can pretty much make any coffee-based drink at home.

From ice cubes and a pinch of syrup to marshmallow creamer and ice cream, you can add basically anything that comes to your mind.

How did you like the list?

If you’re looking for something even bolder, try mixing coffee and orange, my personal favorite combo!
